Δηµήτρης Κοντοπίδης

Ο Δημήτρης Κοντοπίδης ​Είναι 39 ετών και ασχολείται με το Patient Advocacy και την κοινωνική επιχειρηματικότητα. Οι πρώτες τις σπουδές ήταν άμεσα συνδεδεμένες με το design σε κάθε του διάσταση. Απόφοιτος από τα ΤΕΙ Γραφιστικής (πλεον ΠΑΔΑ), παρακολούθησε μαθήματα στην Καλών Τεχνών στην Μαδρίτη για ένα χρόνο και συνέχισε στην Αρχιτεκτονική του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου. Από το 2010 συνέχισε την κατάρτιση του ως Patient advocate και ασθενής με Κυστική Ίνωση. Παράλληλα συνέχισε με μεταπτυχιακή ειδίκευση στην κοινωνική επιχειρηματικότητα & αλληλέγγυα οικονομία και εκπαιδεύτηκε στα περισσότερα incubators/accelerators της Ελλάδας. Σήμερα είναι τελειόφοιτος στο Μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Σπουδών « Ηγεσία, καινοτομία και Πολιτικές Αξίας στην Υγεία» στo Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής (πρώην Εθνική Σχολή Δημόσιας Υγείας -ΕΣΔΥ).

Τα τελευταία 12 χρόνια έχει ενεργή συμμετοχή του στην χάραξη πολιτικής Υγείας, ως εκπρόσωπος των ασθενών συμμετέχοντας σε διεθνείς και εθνικές οργανώσεις. Είναι επίτιμος Πρόεδρος του Πανελλήνιου Συλλόγου Κυστικής Ίνωσης, Αντιπρόεδρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Συλλόγου Κυστικής Ίνωσης, αντιπρόεδρος της Ένωσης Ασθενών Ελλάδος και μέλος της επιτροπής Εθνικού Μητρώου Κυστικής Ίνωσης. Το 2019 βραβέυτηκε ως Patient Advocate 2019 από την ευρωπαϊκή κοινότητα Κυστικής Ίνωσης για την συμβολή του στην αλλαγή του χάρτη της Κυστικής Ίνωσης στην Ελλάδα, ενώ το 2021 βραβεύτηκε με το ELF AWARD 2021 από την Αναπνευστική Ευρωπαϊκή κοινότητα για την καθοριστική συμβολή του στην πρόσβαση στην επαναστατική θεραπεία Κ.Ι., μέσα από την συγκλονιστική του άρνηση μεταμόσχευσης πνεύμονα.

Είναι ιδρυτής και διευθυντής της Humane, ενός δικτύου ενδυνάμωσης ανθρώπων με ορατές και αόρατες αναπηρίες μέσα από κοινωνικά έργα που περιλαμβάνουν: κοινωνικό marketing & επικοινωνία, προαγωγή υγείας, ισότιμη ένταξη ΑμεΑ, καινοτομία, νέες τεχνολογίες & ψηφιακή Υγεία, τέχνη & πολιτιστικές δράσεις, εκπαίδευση & επαγγελματική κατάρτιση, design thinking & impact measurment. Τα ΑμεΑ και οι ασθενείς περιλαμβάνονται σε κάθε έργο ως βασικά μέλη της διεπιστημονικής ομάδας σχεδιασμού και υλοποίησης αξιοποιώντας τις αρχές της συμμετοχικού και εξατομικευμένου σχεδιασμού (design thinking, co creation, UX Design). Μέντορας και σύμβουλος κοινωνικής επιχειρηματικότητας, συμμετέχοντας σε εθνικούς και ευρωπαϊκούς διαγωνισμούς και επιτροπές (Digital Hub – Pfizer 2021, Green Ideas Greece Competition 2020, Global Patient Summit 2020- Boehringer, Grant Proposal Evaluator -EA Grants Active citizens Fund – Bodossaki Foundation, Mentor of the Prince George’s International Business Program in Greece 2019, Jury Member of the ”Diamonds Challenge”, Global Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 2019. Με προσωπικές διακρίσεις σε καινοτόμα project όπως στο EIT Health 2019, Impact Awards 2021- The Hellenic Initiative, etc.

Dimitris Kontopidis is 39 years old and is involved with Patient Advocacy and social entrepreneurship. His first studies were directly related to design. He graduated from the TEI of Graphic Design (PADA) and attended courses in Fine Arts in Madrid for a year, later he began new studies in Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. Later, in 2010 he continued his training as a Patient advocate as he is a patient with Cystic Fibrosis. At the same time, he followed a postgraduate specialization in social entrepreneurship and solidarity economy having been trained in most of the incubators / accelerators in Greece. Today he is a graduand in the Postgraduate Program “Leadership, Innovation and Health Value Policies” at the University of West Attica (former National School of Public Health – ESDY)

For the last 12 years he has been actively involved in Health Policy making as a patient representative, participating in international and national organizations. He is Honorary President of the Hellenic Association of Cystic Fibrosis, Vice President of the European Cystic Fibrosis Association, Vice President of the Hellenic Patients Association and a member of the committee of the National Registry of Cystic Fibrosis. In 2019 he was awarded as Patient Advocate of the year, by the European Cystic Fibrosis community for his contribution to changing the map of Cystic Fibrosis in Greece, while in 2021 he was awarded the ELF AWARD 2021 by the European Respiratory Community for his crucial contribution to access to revolutionary treatment for CF, through his shocking refusal of lung transplantation.

He is the Founder and Director of Humane, a network for empowering people with visible and invisible disabilities through social projects that include: social marketing & communication, health promotion, equal inclusion for the disabled, innovation, new technologies & digital health, art & cultural activities, education & vocational training, design thinking & impact measurement. People with disabilities and patients are included in each project as experts of the interdisciplinary project design and implementation team, utilizing the principles of participatory and personalized design (design thinking, co creation, UX Design). At the same time, he is a mentor and social entrepreneurship consultant, participating in national and European competitions and committees: Digital Hub – Pfizer 2021, Global Patient Summit 2020 – Boehringer, Green Ideas Greece Competition 2020, Grant Proposal Evaluator of the EΕA Grants Active citizens Fund – Bodossaki Foundation, Mentor of the Prince’s Trust International Enterprise Programme in Greece 2019, Jury Member of the ”Diamonds Challenge”, Global Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 2019. In addition, it has received awards for innovative projects such as the EIT Health 2019, Impact Awards 2021- The Hellenic Initiative, etc.
